PSC is more efficient and reliable than any other state in India. Pinarayi Vijayan also accused the government of misrepresenting a well-functioning institution and trying to create panic among the youth.

There is no outside involvement in examinations or appointments. Not so in many other states. Pinarayi Vijayan said the PSC's credibility is based on flawless performance. The main allegation was that two students of University College had illegally entered the list of candidates. It was proven wrong. However, Vijayan alleged that even a transparent institution, like the PSC, is being challenged by the government, which is being criticized.

University college violence victims first spread that they wrote the PSC exam in college. Complaint can be made but it does not break credibility. The government is ready to accept criticism openly. Pinarayi Vijayan said the allegation against the PSC was part of a nationwide crackdown on constitutional institutions.
